Restaurants

Fitzroy Hotel sits at the top of Charlotte Street and is ideally situated close to London's best kept secret for lovers of good food. Charlotte Street has many of London's best quality restaurants as well as many vibrant cafes and bars.

Charlotte street is where the first Chez Gerard was opened and houses the restaurant where Jamie Oliver learnt his craft. The variety of styles include French, Italian, Thai, Japanese, Indian, Indonesian, Spanish and Korean.

We have picked some of our favourites below:

Roka

This award winning restaurant serves contemporary Japanese Robatayaki cuisine in striking surroundings. Fish, poultry, meat and vegetables are prepared in full view of the diners on the centrally located Robata grill.

Created by Noriyoshi Murumatsu in collaboration with Tokyo's Super Potato Architecture and Design Company the décor is rustic yet contemporary using exotic hardwoods throughout.

Rasa Samudra

Yet another award winning restaurant (Time Out, Zagat, Good Food Guide) but this time offering Southern Indian food. The Keralan inspired restaurant bases its philosophy of food on home cooked South Indian, vegetarian, fish and meat dishes.

Ingredients are some of the finest available and the chef Das Sreedharan bases his food on taste, pleasure, delight and happiness, which just happens to be what Rasa translates to in Sanskrit.
